Amanda and Matt wanted more than just one night to celebrate their wedding with family and close friends. When guests got word that the wedding would be held in beautiful Cabo, Mexico, they were jumping for joy – especially those who hadn’t attended a wedding away before.
Beyond the posh all-inclusive resorts, white sandy beaches and stunning ocean sunsets, Cabo provided the perfect location for what Amanda and Matt were searching for in a location for their nuptials. “We wanted to make sure that our guests were comfortable but above all safe and Cabo was the perfect location, the weather was not an issue either since there are no rainy days there,” the couple says.
Luckily, with the right team of vendors, the couple didn’t have to do much research when it came to smoothing out the details of their Cabo wedding. “Our wedding coordinator actually handled anything that we needed with our vendors, we just gave her images and an overall idea of what we wanted and she brought it to life with all of her vendor contacts,” the bride says.
But, they did take a trip down to the Baja Peninsula just to plan a few days out at the resort just to get a feel of what they were getting into. “Because of how much we loved our stay that made our decision very easy!” the couple says.
Although some folks had a rough time getting to Cabo – some flights were not only delayed but canceled entirely – once everyone arrived, the party went off without a hitch.
Choosing to wed in Cabo actually cut costs for Amanda and Matt. Plus, when they compared their destination wedding planning experience to that of their friends’ local weddings, it was a lot less stressful. “We would’ve had four times as many people, our cost would have tripled and it wouldn’t have had all the great memories or experience that we made being away for a week with so many of our family and friends,” the couple added.
Now destination wedding veterans, the couple shared a piece of advice we couldn’t help but include: “remember that your guests have nothing to complain about because they are in warm weather, poolside with delicious drinks and food, beautiful views and even better company.”
Perhaps the phrase which fits this lovely real Cabo destination wedding is “Hakuna Matata.”
