Fall 2019 Issue on Sale Now!

With summer temperatures still on the rise, we’re looking forward to fall here at Destination I Do. Today marks the launch of our Fall 2019 issue! Believe it or not, this is DID’s whopping 30th issue and the magazine is bigger than ever before! While our blog and website are constantly tended with TLC, our magazine is the bread and butter of what Destination I Do is all about. Whether you’re in the process of planning your destination wedding, honeymoon or simply a romantic getaway for two, this issue has something for you. In this issue, you’ll find the trusty departments some of you may have come to count on, as well as some new and exciting features that strive to aide and inspire.

For those of you who judge a magazine by the cover, we’re confident you’ll be captivated by our Fall 2019 cover. This image is from one of two Fashion Forward photoshoots in this issue. The talented folks at Crosby + Jon produced and created this “Riot of Color” photoshoot, along with a talented vendor team. It took place at Grand Velas Riviera Maya in Mexico and was inspired by the resort’s unique architecture, contrasted with its wild jungle setting. Our bride is captivating in a dusty-rose gown by Carol Hannah Bridal and her hair and makeup are by Zoë Elizabeth. Her chunni headpiece, earrings and tiara are all courtesy of Untamed Petals. The bride’s Susie Saltzman ring is complemented by her elaborate mehndi by Loto Mehndi. The image was captured by the talented Jeremy Chou Photography and a special “thank you” to Grand Velas' Project Director Amy Iturralde.

If you can make it beyond the glossy cover, you’ll find lots of goodies inside this issue. We’ve got a wonderful batch of features that are unique to the Fall 2019 issue and include a variety of destinations. For those interested in venues other than resorts, we have our Villa Vows feature, which highlights uber luxe options in Mexico and Costa Rica. We also asked a few members of our team to write about the cities in which they live for the “I Do” as the Locals Do feature. Couples planning their dream honeymoon can explore options in destinations like Thailand, Switzerland and Tuscany in our Honeymoon Hideaways section. This issue also includes a sentimental twist – my very own destination wedding and honeymoon itineraries are included in the Marry Here, Honeymoon There feature, highlighting Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland. This is just a sampling of this issue’s special features, so you’ll have to pick up a copy to explore and discover more wedding and honeymoon destinations!

Our trusty departments are also back, offering the latest and greatest in fashion, etiquette, real-life weddings and more. Be sure to check out our newest article from The Honeymoonist that will help you discover “Vintage Honeymoon Spots Reimagined” and our Ask the Expert story all about creating the ultimate floral fantasy with advice from an expert destination floral designer. This issue also includes two photo shoots within our Fashion Forward section: “A Riot of Color” and “White Out.” For our Guest Book section, we're breaking down various bachelorette ideas based on your group's personality.

Last but not least, our Real-Life Weddings section is also back. Featuring real-life destination wedding couples always holds a special place in our hearts, but this issue is extra special! My own destination elopement in Scotland is included, as well as a lovely former intern of ours who said “I do” in Lake Como! You can also discover bold florals in Santa Barbara, jewel tones in Mammoth Lakes, wine country chic in Santa Ynez, ombre perfect in Jackson Hole, and downtown details in Los Angeles.

Of course, this is just a sampling of what you’ll find between the pages of our Fall 2019 issue. To get the whole scoop, be sure to pick up a copy at your local Barnes & NobleTargetSafeway, some of the U.S.'s major airports and select newsstands. Can't wait?
