The inspiration behind this Fashion Forward photo shoot came from Destination I Do’s Editor in Chief, Jennifer Stein, who wanted to see a ceremony and reception in the sand, without sacrificing high-end glamor. Oceanfront nuptials don’t have to equate to casual style and laidback details. While there’s certainly nothing wrong with the boho style that has been saturating wedding trends for the past few years, we wanted to put a classic, modern spin on things. With our editor in chief’s idea in mind, a group of talented vendors took this inspiration and ran with it – creating a “Barefoot and Black Tie” event worthy of the chicest of beach-goers.
Our bride and groom walk hand-in-hand in the sand. He’s dapper in an ensemble courtesy of The Black Tux and she’s runway ready in the “Alexii Gown” by White Runway and “Dash” necklace from Ariel Jennifer Taub. Her bouquet was designed by Precious & Blooming and her hair and makeup are by Brianna Stewart.
This sumptuous spread and gorgeous table set-up epitomize the modern-meets-beach feel we were after. The catering was courtesy of Contemporary Catering, the beautiful centerpieces were designed by Precious & Blooming, the menus were designed by XOWYO Paper Press, the linens are courtesy of La Tavola Linen and the rentals were provided by Archive Rentals.
Our bridesmaid is breathtaking in the “Monroe Dress” from White Runway and “Delicate” earrings and “Cleo” hairpiece by Ariel Jennifer Taub. Her hair and makeup by Brianna Stewart are complemented by a gorgeous bouquet designed by Precious & Blooming.
Before the beachfront feast, first comes the ceremony. This modern take on a driftwood arch was conceptualized by Onyx + Redwood and executed by Precious & Blooming. The rentals were provided by Archive Rentals and the aisle-lining florals were also created by Precious & Blooming.
Our bride is leaving nothing to chance by accessorizing from every angle. Her “Alexii Gown” from White Runway is given a modern touch with the “Dash” necklace from Ariel Jennifer Taub. Her hair was styled by Brianna Stewart.
-8: Our vendor team did an amazing job putting a refined, sophisticated spin on beachfront style. What our ceremony altar might lack in circumference, it more than makes up for in floral drama. The driftwood altarpiece was conceptualized by Onyx + Redwood and achieved thanks to Precious & Blooming. Stationery sets the scene for your event and these gorgeous paper pages by XOWYO Paper Press would certainly garner lots of RSVPs. The floral centerpieces were also designed by Precious & Blooming and the rentals are courtesy of Archive Rentals.
& 12: The ladies are lovely in the “Alexii Gown” and “Monroe Dress” from White Runway, are carrying bouquets designed by Precious & Blooming and their hair and makeup is by Brianna Stewart. Our groom holds his own in a velvet tuxedo jacket, pants, bow tie and shirt all from The Black Tux.
& 11: These antique details put a different spin on the décor and are all courtesy of Archive Rentals. Precious & Blooming designed the floral and greenery accents.
& 14: Contemporary Catering was the ideal fit for providing food and beverage for this beachfront soirée. Nothing says “celebrate” like a sophisticated cocktail and tasty oysters on the half shell.
